The Community Outreach Coordinator will coordinate and execute all education and outreach activities for Senior Services. This position will be responsible for leading social service initiatives throughout multiple counties to increase the department’s capacity to reach communities by recruiting and training volunteers to promote all department programs and services.
Qualifications
2years of community outreach experience.
Associate degree in human or social services, preferred.
Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills.
Strong knowledge of social media platforms and trends.
Commitment to excellence - Performs duties consistently at the highest level possible with attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communicator - able to interact with people of all levels confidently, effectively, and professionally.
Collaborative team player with excellent people skills and ability to engage on all levels of the organization.
Self-motivated and independent, with excellent prioritization, project management and critical thinking skills, a strong sense of focus, organization, and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to creatively troubleshoot and work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlines.
Computer literate in Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and the general public.
Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Must have a valid California driver’s license,always have own motor vehicle, and provide evidence of automobile liability insurance.
Ability to work program’s need events, projects, and meetings, as assigned.
Ability to work Monday through Friday. Based on the program’s operational needs must have the ability to work flexible days and hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Special Qualifications
Must submit to a pre-employment physical examination, drug screening and Tuberculosis(TB) clearance.
Must provide vaccination records for Pertussis (Tdap), Measles (MMR) and Influenza(optional).
Will be fingerprinted and must clear through DOJ and FBI.
Must provide proof of COVID 19 vaccination or apply for exemption.
