Title: Fiscal Officer II Program: MAOF HS/EHS and EHS Child Care Partnership Program (Los Angeles County) Salary: $120,000 annual salary Openings: 1 Position Status: Full Time Closing Date: Open until filled
Oversee fiscal projects and programs related to general ledger accounting, fund accounting, grants accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, auditing, and purchasing. Anticipates and evaluates revenues and expenditures and evaluates sources of variance during the fiscal year. Directs financial reporting, and reviews and approves monthly financial reports, grants reports, internal audits, and completes financial recaps.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in accounting, business, fiscal management, or related field. Master’s degree highly desirable.
California Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Five years’ experience in fiscal management or organizational management and supervision. Head Start and Early Head Start Program experience highly desired.
Experience with MIP Accounting software, Microsoft Excel and Office 365 preferred.
Thorough knowledge of personal computing programs (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.).
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities while under pressure.
Ability to interact with all levels of personnel, funding source and representatives of other agencies.
Ability to maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers,
supervisors, and the public; work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues; and complete projects under tight deadlines even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Must possess own vehicle, a valid CA Driver’s License and appropriate automobile insurance at all times.
Must submit to a pre-employment physical examination, drug screening and Tuberculosis (TB) clearance.
Must provide vaccination records for Pertussis (Tdap), Measles (MMR) and Influenza (optional).
Will be fingerprinted and must clear through DOJ and FBI.
