Title: Health and Social Services Coordinator Program: MAOF Salinas Child Care/Pre-School Program (Monterey County) Salary: $24.15 Openings: 1 Position Status: Full Time Closing Date: Open until filled
Health and Social Services Coordinator links families to the appropriate health, special needs, nutrition, social services, mental health and parent involvement services, supporting them in making decisions and choices that will help improve their lives. Will assist with recruitment of children by attending community events and will conduct the pre-screening/enrollment of migrant families.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in child development, education, or related field.
Minimum two (2) year of experience working with low income families and/or children; experience in case management.
Ability to work Monday through Friday, regular schedule hours and on weekends if needed.
Ability to perform complex program requirements.
Strong organizational, analytic, and administrative skills.
Proficient in reading, writing, math, and understanding of work-related material.
Strong written and oral communication skills required.
Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills.
Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet.
Experience handling sensitive and confidential matters.
Sensitivity and ability to work well with diverse social, ethnic, religious, and cultural groups.
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Must possess own vehicle, a valid California Driver’s License and appropriate automobile insurance at all times.
Must submit to a pre-employment physical examination, drug screening and Tuberculosis (TB) clearance.
Must provide vaccination records for Pertussis (Tdap), Measles (MMR) and Influenza (optional).
Will be fingerprinted and must clear through DOJ and FBI.
