The Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of a Project Specialist.
The Project Specialist is a part-time (hourly) position reporting to the Program Manager. Responsible to provide assistance and support with the implementation of the Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP ARPA funding) for the R&R Program. Conduct outreach and recruit participants; assists in the coordination of orientations and trainings; conducts site visits; establish and leverage community partnerships; and disseminate child care/business resources tailored to participant needs.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with child care programs, social support services, or any relatable transferrable skills, with a minimum one year of experience in an administrative or clerical support position.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging client calls or requests.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation/training skills.
Relevant work experience in human/social services or child development may be substituted for college level education.
Must have knowledge of the early childhood education field. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom and other applications/databases a plus.
Must possess own vehicle at all times, a valid California Driver’s License and appropriate automobile insurance. Must be fully vaccinated COVID-19 and provide evidence.
