Under direction of the program administrator and or designee, assist in the coordination of the daily operations of the Child Care/Pre-School Center, enforces regulations of the program guidelines,implements, and maintains an appropriate environment for the children and staff; and performs related work as required.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Early Childhood Education and/or Child Development or related field.
Must possess a valid Site Supervisor Permit from the CCTC.
Three (3) infant/toddler units are highly preferred(Not required in CSPP Centers).
Two (2) years of management and/or supervisory experience.
Six (6) semester units in supervision and/or management in CD/ECE.
Two (2) semester units of adult supervision in CD/ECE.
Pediatric First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certified.
Preventative Health Practices Course – 8 hours
Ability to communicate, both oral and written
Ability to speak, read and write English well enough to understand and be understood by others.
Ability to relate to diverse groups of people including low-income families.
Sensitive to others needs.
Maintain confidentiality.
Sincere commitment to providing services to children and the community.
Ability to assess and respond quickly to varied situations.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
