The Caseworker Specialist will play a key role in assisting high-need seniors by making referrals to care management programs or adult protective services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Program Director utilizing skills with a minimum of supervision, performs the following duties:
Provides social service information and assistance to program clients/participants.
Provide excellent customer service.
Provides community outreach to program clients/participants.
Provides referrals, initiates referral form process, and schedules appointments for program clients/participants.
Seeks assistance with mandated referrals to Adult Protective Services.
Provide interpreter service for program clients/participants.
Maintains an accurate calendar of events, appointments, and schedules.
As directed, translate correspondence, memorandums, forms, documents, and other materials. Composes and edits letters, designs flyers, types and reproduces forms, and maintains adequate supplies of forms.
Ensures confidentiality of all records.
May be assigned to attend conferences and workshops.
Answer telephone, take and relay messages.
Assist with community events and special events.
Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with co-workers; and complete projects under tight deadlines even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments.

Regular attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of office experience.
Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
Must work Monday through Friday with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint,Word).
Must have own vehicle, valid California Driver’s License, and appropriate insurance.
Ability to represent MAOF professionally and skillfully.
Strong written and oral communication, organizational skills, and relationship-building abilities with co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and skilled in prioritization and project management.
Ability to troubleshoot creatively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with tight deadlines.
Experience in delivering culturally mindful services and handling sensitive matters.
Strong focus on detail and commitment to providing quality service.
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
Must be fingerprinted and cleared through the Department of Justice.
