About the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation

Since its founding in 1963 in Los Angeles by community leader and civil rights activist Dionicio Morales, the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) has grown to become one of the largest nonprofits in California. MAOF maintains an annual operating budget of over $200 million and, with its 900 team members, serves over 125,000 under-resourced individuals per year across seven counties: Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, San Diego, Ventura, Kern, and Monterey.

MAOF uses a multi-generational approach to uplift the whole family in four service pillars: early childhood care and education services, community development services, senior services, and community partnership services.
