MAOF's Family Child Care Home Educational Network (FCCHEN) is funded by the California Department of Social Services (DSS).  The program offers free or reduced cost child care services to income eligible families who have a qualifying need as defined by the funding source. Children served from birth to age 5 or entry into kindergarten, benefit from the program’s educational component that is monitored to ensure the environment supports and enhances the physical, cognitive, and social development of the child.

Providers in the network receive supportive technical assistance and participate in ongoing training and professional development. The quality of the childcare environment is also monitored to ensure the environment supports the health and safety of the children enrolled. Providers in the network strive to foster, promote and nurture supportive, positive relationships with the parents.
