The Custodian is responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy,safe and sanitary manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Custodial reports to the Facilities Manager and cares for the MAOF Facility and equipment. Maintaining these responsibilities will help ensure the health, safety and security of the public.
Cleans offices, meeting rooms,bathrooms, lunch room, utility room, storage rooms, and any common area;
Sweeps and mops daily;
Vacuums runners and all carpeted areas;
Daily cleans and disinfects washroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, hand dryers, and
bathroom fixtures, including mirrors;
Replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed daily;
Empty all waste baskets and garbage cans daily;
Keep outside area near exit and entrance clean and clear of cans, paper, etc.;
Perform and/or report all minor maintenance repairs;
Report damages and acts of vandalism;
Spot clean walls and toilet partitions;
Completes Health and Safety checklists of building assigned and reports necessary maintenance to immediate Supervisor;
Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored safely and in an orderly manner;
Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and supplies;
Restock materials and supplies timely;
Sets-up conference room(s);
Maintains a neat personal appearance;
Regular attendance;
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Spanish/English preferred.
Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures,chemicals, products and equipment;
Ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly on the use and application of cleaning chemicals and products;
Ability to work under minimal supervision;
Must have negative Tuberculin test(TB) or X-rays;
Physical and mental fitness to engage in custodial work;
Must be fingerprinted and receive clearance from DOJ and FBI;
Must have own transportation, a valid California Driver’s License and required Automobile insurance;
