Assists Parent Involvement coordinatorin the planning of the Parent Involvement Volunteer Services action plan: Assists in recruiting, orienting and encouraging parents to participate in the Head Start Program; Assists in making arrangements for parent meetings,training workshops and special activities. This is an on-site position. It is not a remote position. Will primarily work in an office setting and in the field and will require driving/travel.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED, required.
Two years (2) experience working with community services.
Ability to work with an ethnically and linguistically diverse population.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good record-keeping skills.
Excellent computer skills
Ability to give and take simple instructions and attend to the needs of others.
English and Spanish fluency REQUIRED, (both oral and written skills).
Special Qualifications
Must complete AB 1207 California Childcare Providers: Mandated Reporter Training within 90 days of hire, renewed every two (2) years.
Must submit to a pre-employment physical examination, drug screening and Tuberculosis (TB) clearance.
Must provide vaccination records for Pertussis (Tdap), Measles (MMR) and Influenza (optional).
Will be finger printed and must clear through DOJ and FBI.
Must possess own vehicle, valid California Driver’s License and at minimum, general liability automobile insurance.
Hold a valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
