Under the direction of the Payment Processing Supervisor, following established MAOF procedures the Payment Processing Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all childcare providers are paid accurately and promptly.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent,
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues/matters,
Sensitivity and ability to work well with diverse social, ethnic religious and cultural groups and communities,
Must have positive attitude with a desire to work with and promote the welfare of children and their families,
Sincere commitment to provide quality service to the public.
Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding work related material and make arithmetic computations rapidly and accurately.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees.
Excellent mathematical skills.
Computer literate.
Ability to maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers and supervisors; work as part of a team and collaborate with department; and complete projects under tight deadlines even when there are completing requirements and changes in assignments.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
