Director of Procurement will supervise and coordinate with the Programs the purchasing, quoting and bidding for goods and services in support of program operations. Will assist the Programs in the procurement of goods and services in accordance with current government regulations and MAOF’s Procurement Policy and Procedures. Will be responsible for the design and implementation of comprehensive automated inventory control system.
Qualifications
Bachelors’ Degree in Business-related field.
Five years’ direct experience in procurement methodologies and computerized processes.
Knowledge of Federal Regulations regarding procurement for not-for-profit organization, preferred.
Experience in Contract Administration.
Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.
Strong computer skills, including general knowledge of Excel and Word; proficient in all other Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, etc.). Experience with computerized accounting system including purchase requisition and inventory control software programs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to details and strong organizational and leadership skills essential.
Demonstrates ability to work under pressure on multiple projects with competing deadlines and to prioritize work effectively and apply a sense of urgency to projects.
Must be highly motivated, able to exercise discretion and good judgment, work independently, take initiative, participate as an effective team member and follow tasks through to completion.
Ability to maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers,supervisors, and the public; work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues; and complete projects under tight deadlines even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments.
Must possess own vehicle, a valid California Driver’s License and appropriate automobile insurance at all times.
Ability to drive and travel, as required.
