Under general supervision, plans, coordinates and oversees the implementation of the health services of the MAOF Early Head Start Program. The Health Coordinator is responsible for developing memoranda of understanding with community organization that provider health, nutrition,oral health services to families and children participating in the Early Head Start Program.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in public health, child health, maternal health, Health Science, Social Work, or related filed. License Vocational Nurse with experience in Head Start is acceptable.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Health Field or Coordinator in Head Start.
Must possess a valid California Driver’s License, have use of a motor vehicle, and provide evidence of auto liability as required by law.
Ability to work with an ethnically and linguistically diverse population.
Ability to verbally communicate with parents, children,families, and others in a effective manner.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to interact with people of all levels confidentially, effectively, and professionally.
Ability to maintain a positive work environment and relationships.
Excellent organizational and record-keeping and data entry skills,
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel,and PowerPoint).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
SpecialQualifications
Must complete AB 1207 California Child Care Providers: Mandated Reporter Training within 90 days of hire, renewed every two (2) years.
Must submit to a pre-employment physical examination, drug screening and Tuberculosis (TB) clearance.
Must provide vaccination records for Pertussis (Tdap), Measles (MMR) and Influenza(optional).
Will be fingerprinted and must clear through DOJ and FBI.
Must possess own vehicle, valid California Driver’s License and at minimum, general liability automobile insurance.
Hold a valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
