Family Case Specialist II is responsible for providing case management services to families enrolled in the subsidized childcare program. The Family Case Specialists II will perform their duties in compliance with the funding source contracts and guidelines.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent; AA degree or higher preferred.
Four(4) years equivalent related work experience.
Bi-lingual Spanish/ English required.
Ability to perform complex program requirements.
Ability to work Monday through Friday, regularly scheduled hours and on weekends orevenings, if needed.
Strong organizational, analytical, and administrative skills.
Proficient in reading, writing, math, and understanding of work-related material.
Excellent customer service and problem-resolution skills.
Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet.
Experience handling sensitive and confidential matters.
Experience working with childcare providers and CalWORKs participants receiving subsidized childcare assistance preferred.
Working knowledge of the existing Los Angeles County welfare system is preferred.
Sensitivity and ability to work well with diverse social, ethnic, religious, and cultural groups.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Must possess own vehicle, a valid California Driver’s License and appropriate automobile insurance at all times.
Ability to drive and travel, as required.
Ability to maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the public; work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues; and complete projects under the tight deadlines even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments.
