Imagine having to worry about your next meal or not knowing what you will feed your children for dinner. Unfortunately, that is the reality many of our neighbor’s face daily. At the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation, we work to help find solutions for those in our community facing food insecurity.

We are excited to be the recipients of a $5,000 grant from the Albertson’s Foundation’s Nourishing Neighbors to help those in our community who are facing food insecurity issues. With this grant we intend to purchase additional nutritional food for our weekly food bank. Fresh groceries will supplement our current supply of dry staples to reach more people in need.

Nourishing Neighbors aims to fight hunger by helping keep food banks stocked, supporting meal distribution programs at school, and supporting programs that provide food to seniors. As a program of the Albertson’s Foundation, it is working to eradicate hunger in America.

We can’t thank the Albertson’s Foundation enough for providing this grant to help our neighbors.
